Description

Feeling home halfway around the world: this is our favorite Italian bistrot in town. Modena-born chef Marco Carboni has traveled a lot before opening in 2017 this lovely restaurant in the charming and relaxing Colonia Roma district, close to Plaza Rio de Janeiro. Homemade pasta is the restaurant's highlight. Start with the gnocco fritto, with prosciutto, parmigiano cheese and balsamic vinegar, then try the malloreddus (typical sardinian pasta) with ragu . During our last visit, we also had a good al dente pumpkin risotto, with
crispy pancetta, sage, aged balsamic vinegar. The ingredients are top notch and so is the wine list, which focuses on native Italian grape varieties and some very interesting natural labels. You will feel like you're in an authentic Italian trattoria, with an informal atmosphere that helps you to really enjoy eating and drinking. Don’t forget to reserve a relaxing outdoor table. Before or after dinner, cross the street and have a drink at the cozy Bottega bar.
