Born as the offshoot of a historic fishmonger in the Mercato Orientale (Conti), this is a delicatessen and take-our diner but also an informal pit stop for a quick meal on the spot (check their Facebook page for evening openings). Totally informal, here the focus is on food, obviously seafood, which arrives fresh daily from the parent company and is cooked (well) according to tradition: mussels or anchovy sauce, swordfish croquettes sautéed with fresh perino, and also some exotic touches, such as sesame-crusted tuna with salad and tzatziki. Few but fine wines and trained staff.
The best trattorias/bistrots are marked with 1,2,3 shrimps according to their quality grades.
