This is how Italian immigrants hailing from Trentino and Val Gardena were called because they carried around a wooden spoon, a derogatory term used to address Italian migrants. Opened in 1983, Osteria der Ktarzmacher is now managed by Giorgio Cherubini. Locals flock here for solid and reliable Italian cuisine. The menu changes with the season, much more than any other Italian restaurant in Germany. Among the dishes to try there is the Vitello Tonnato, the maltagliati pasta served with braised meat ragu, and flank steak served with radicchio from Treviso and polenta.
