Founded in 1827, Sant'Agata d'Oneglia, undoubtedly one of the most enduring oil producers of the region, has been in the hands of the Mela family for generations. Today Sant'Agata d'Oneglia is managed by Antonio and Paola, together with their daughters Cristiana and Serena. Their some 8,000 Taggiasca olive trees are spread over dozens of hectares of land, and they own a press as well, which allows for the processing of olives soon after harvest. In addition to a variety of extra-virgin olive oils, they sell olives and olive paté, various products bottled in oil (vegetables, tuna, anchovies, codfish, mackerel, yellow tail), creams and sauces, vinegars and condiments, different types of semolina pasta, delicious truffle products, cosmetics made with olive oil (soaps, detergents, face, hand and body creams), breadsticks, panettone and even limoncello.
