In Prosecco Superiore the vineyards are mostly managed by small farms that don't deal in wine production. Instead they deliver their grapes to bottling wineries that, for their part, often don't own their own vineyards. In the case of Lucio and Mirella De Faveri we find a producer that, in addition to drawing on historic collaborations with local growers, also personally oversees several hectares of vineyards, both in the historic part of the appellation and outside it. Great attention is paid to second fermentation in the cellar, as is highlighted throughout their range and is even more evident in the case of the Valdobbiadene Dry '20. It's a wine redolent of ripe white fruit and almond refreshed by whiffs of citrus and wisteria flowers. In the mouth its sweetness is measured, with a sapidity that accompanies its gently caressing fizz. The Cartizze '20 is fuller and more immediate on the nose, dominated by notes of fruit, while the palate proves juicy and gratifying.
