Founded in 1884, this cooperative is among the oldest in the region. Every day, Vipiteno's almost 600 members produce about 150,000 liters of fresh, top quality milk from cows raised in local mountain pastures. The delicious and unique milk is then worked into yogurt, fresh cream, butter and commercially available milk. Naturally, the coop has never let down their guard in terms of guaranteeing quality, obtaining certifications, and meeting consumers' constantly changing needs. To this end, they have introduced a new organic line as well as convenient, snack-sized yogurts, perfect for a quick lunch break. Moreover, almost all their selection is suitable for those with gluten intolerances. For a small fee (and on request), guided visits of the plants are available. Visitors get to see up close the various stages of production, quality controls and packaging.
