Ferrarini - Vismara

Description

The story begins in an old villa in the fields among the green hills of Reggio, at Rivaltella, where the Gruppo Ferrarini still has its head office. When it began producing cooked ham in 1956 it was the first company in Italy to offer this product without added polyphosphates, which was revolutionary in the sector. The company adheres to a strict quality policy for its products, and promotes research and study into new flavours and manufacturing techniques. Traditional items are flanked by new products like lonzotto, practically fat-free, and coriandoli di cotto, gluten-free with no milk protein, and further adds to health benefits by being low in salt and higher in potassium. In 2000 Ferrarini purchased Vismara and has various plants in Italy and abroad.
