Situated in the historic center behind Piazza Erbe, Du De Cope will delight you with its fun colors and excellent pizzas (authored by Giancarlo Perbellini). Quality pies are made with carefully chosen ingredients (especially flours) mostly sourced from small local producers. Their approach to pizza making follows suitit's characterized by long leavening, making for thick, crunchy crusts that are light and easy to digest. Among the many versions to try, there's the interesting pizza with burrata, warm cherry tomatoes, basil, Taggiasca olives and Grana Padano cheese, or the more savory pie with cabbage, lardoni, smoked ricotta and porcini powder. A nicely chosen range of beers includes a number of different craft brews from around Italy. In addition to pizza, there are other delicious items on the menu, like salads and some hot dishes, as well as various well-made desserts. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service attentive and kind.
The best pizzerias are marked with 1,2,3 'spicchi' according to their quality grades.
