This historic family-run pastry shop is always a sure bet, a place where the technique and talent of Mario and Alessandro Busato go hand in hand with the best ingredients, passion and exceptional technical skill. Tradition and territory are given their due: in the homeland of prized Vialone Nano, rice gets the right amount of attention, even when it comes to desserts, with specialties like the classic risino, rice cake and the "risone". But there are many delicious temptations. In the morning try their croissants and unmissable pain au chocolat. There are also well-made cakes, like their millefeuille, the Meraviglia (almond brittle wrapped in white chocolate mousse, raspberry jelly and pistachio cream) and the Allegra (an amazing hazelnut praline brittle, creamy with salted caramel and mousse with milk chocolate). You'll find plenty of pastries to indulge in, from classics such as cannoncini to highly recommended cream puffs, not to mention sandwiches and stuffed croissants. The festivities bring specialties like panettone, colombe, zeppole, galani and pastiera to the counter. In the shop area they sell coffee, jams (pear and vanilla, apricot and passion fruit), puff pastries and baci di dama in jars. The place is small, but kind and attentive service guarantees a great experience.
