If you ask any Los Angeles food expert, they'll tell you that Da Michele in Los Angeles is the place to be. Let's start from the fascinating and appropriate location, which had already hosted the Café des Artistes, and from its scenographic and comfortable outdoor garden which reveals a dandy ambiance. The very skilled head pizza maker Michele Rubini together with his team manages to easily churn out 500 pizzas in one evening. Same pies as always, the classic and fragrant oversize pizza, which hangs out of the serving plate. We always recommend the pizza marinara and pizza margherita, traditionally also offered in the double version. Our last visit didn't meet our high expectations. Compared to its "headquarters" in Naples, here there is space for appetisers, arancini, a targeted offer of salads, pastas (norma and Genoese above all) and desserts. The service is professional and up to par even in the busiest times of day.
The best pizzerias are marked with 1,2,3 'spicchi' according to their quality grades.
