The history of the distillery began in 1885 with Francesco Trussoni, who decided to create one of the first grappas made from nebbiolo, the variety used exclusively in prestigious Barolo wines. In 1922 the estate passed into the hands of Mario Montanaro and his wife Angela Trussoni. Today the family still makes a wide range of products, based on the native local grape varieties, nebbiolo, dolcetto, arneis, barbera, moscato, in grappas that speak of the Piedmont area's aromas and flavours.
