Besides being a land of great wines, the Langhe also offers excellent distillates. In the 1970s, Paolo Marolo was one of the first distillers to believe in the potential of the native grape of Piedmont. Today, joined in the enterprise by his son Lorenzo, his grappas show that he was right: nebbiolo, arneis, cortese, and brachetto are the raw material for velvety, intriguing spirits that are the voice of the cultivar and the territory.
