In the 1940s, the company now run by three generations of the Barletta family, began producing olive oil. In addition to the virgin and extra virgin olive oil and Primitivo wine, Feudo di San Giacomo has gained a well-deserved reputation for processing and preserving white dottato figs, a variety prevalent in southern Italy. From cultivation to harvesting and drying, every stage is monitored with attention. Both the sun-dried almond-stuffed figs and the more tempting version dipped in milk or dark chocolate are excellent.
