Ghirardi Prosciutti

Description

Albino Ghirardi began the business of processing and maturing ham in Langhirano in 1948. Over time production increased and the company became established on the Italian and foreign markets. In 2007 Ghirardi Prosciutti Srl was founded with its distinctive trademark butterfly, standing out over the cream of production. The meat derives from mature heavy pigs bred in Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia, with long maturation of the thigh joints (18–24 months) for hams on or off the bone, and other traditional charcuterie.
