Tenimenti Grieco is the result of significant vineyard renewal work at the former Masseria Flocco, taken over by Antonio Grieco, a businessman from Puglia who in 2013 decided to invest in nearby Molise, choosing the path of winemaking. The headquarters is in Portocannone: the Tremiti Islands on the horizon and the Appennines in the background serve as an effective platform for the style of the wines, all characterized by fruity clarity and pleasantness on the palate. The vineyards range from native falanghina, montepulciano, and tintilia to international varieties like sauvignon, pinot bianco, chardonnay, cabernet, merlot, and syrah: all these give life to a varied range divided into different lines.
Molise Tintilia 200 Metri 2022 - Tenimenti Grieco
The wine with the best value for money in Molise for the Berebene 2024 guide
We would like to try something different. But as long as Antonio Grieco continues to produce such a good wine produced at 200 meters of altitude and sells it at this price, how can we not review it in Gambero Rosso's Berebene 2024 guide? And above all, how can we not award it the Regional best value for money Award for Molise? Once again, this Tintilia confirms itself as a wine of great pleasantness. Red flowers and spices, red cherry, raspberries, balsamic hints, and Mediterranean scrubland: this is the broad and multifaceted profile of a red wine that shines for its simplicity and fragrance, without being trivial.
