The event
The calendar of food and wine events held at Città del Gusto in Rome continues to attract lovers of fine dining. After the event dedicated to extra virgin olive oil, Olio in Città...del gusto, and a show cooking with Valerio Braschi and Igles Corelli, Permette Maestro?it is now time to clink wine glasses. In particular pink wine, which is perfect for the summer season. The evening will showcase a number of labels from all over Italy selected by Gambero Rosso experts, and the venue will once again be the courtyard at Città del Gusto in Rome, located at a stone’s throw from the Villa Pamphili park. Thursday, July 20 from 7 to 11 p.m. I Drink Pink will feature the best rosé wines of Italy, paired with various food specialties, from street food to local products.
The survey
The festival is intended for everyone, from sommeliers and rosé lovers, to producers and wine lovers. Plus, of course, anyone curious about learning a little more on one of Italy’s prized wine types. In anticipation of the event, participants will be able to suggest their rosé wine preference online with a survey that will soon be published on the Gambero Rosso website. During the course of the evening, it will be the participants to vote the winner.
Events held in other Città del Gusto branches
I Drink Pink is a wide-scoping event that will be held in three other important Italian locations. July 7 the event will be in Cervia, in the Ravenna province, and held at the exclusive Fantini Beach Club. Paired to the wines will be tastings of Mortadella Bologna IGP, scacquerone cheese of the Caseificio Pascoli creamery, and the focaccias by Fratelli Bassini 1963, in addition to the many specialties prepared by the ristorante Calamare. The next appointment id July 12 with I Drink Pink at Città del Gusto Lecce, hosted for the occasion at the Castello di Corigliano d'Otranto castle. Lastly, on July 13 the event will land at Città del Gusto Napoli at Castello De Vita, a historic villa nestled amid vineyards and overlooking the Gulf of Naples.
