With Gambero Rosso's Berebene 2025 guide, we offer you one of the most comprehensive editions to date. The awarded wines amount to a staggering 937, an extensive list that highlights the excellent quality of wine production in our country. Among these labels, as in previous years, we have sought to identify National Awards: wines that, within their respective categories, represent an outstanding quality-price ratio on a national scale. In short, a sort of compendium of the philosophy behind this publication.

Best sparkling wine
La Matta” Dosaggio Zero ’23 – Casebianche
93/100
Tasting wines from Casebianche is never boring, thanks to the sparkling wines re-fermented in the bottle, a specialty mastered by Betty Iurio and Pasquale Amitrano. This year’s version of La Matta, made from Fiano grapes, is outstanding: joyful with notes of citron, lime, and freshly cut grass; savory, lively, delightfully unrestrained, fragrant, and bursting with character.
Best white wine
Falerio Pecorino Maree ’23 – Madonnabruna
93/100
It’s hard to find a wine as immediately enjoyable, sunny, and high-caliber as Maree ’23. This vintage Pecorino by Paolo and Carlo Petracci seamlessly blends the freshness of crystal-clear citrus perceptions with enticing hints of yellow peach and anise, underpinned by a herbal backdrop of aromatic plants. The palate's juiciness amplifies its fruity tones and drinkability.
Best Rosé

FCO Pinot Grigio Ramato ’23 – Sirch
Luca Sirch's winery has seen exponential growth in recent years, expanding considerably across the Friulian hills. The company philosophy focuses on achieving subtle complexity to craft increasingly elegant and nuanced wines. The *Pinot Grigio Ramato ’23* stands out as the best in the range, with aromas of lily-of-the-valley, rose petals, wild strawberries, and pomegranate. On the palate, it is flavorful and persistent.

The sip is smooth and flavorful, with continuous development and a well-defined finish featuring citrus and fruity returns.

These estates mainly produce Barbera and Moscato. The Canelli Tenuta del Fant ’23 presents floral, fruity aromas with hints of candied orange peel.
