An entrepreneur and member of the "Women of Wine" association, Macchia received the baton on Friday, 26 July, during the meeting of the consortium’s board of directors. The representatives of the 60 member wineries also elected two vice-presidents: Gabriele Gaffino from Cantina Gaffino and Damiano Federici from Vinicola Federici.

Goals for the three-year term

This is a point of pride for the new president, Macchia, who has clear ideas about the future of the Roman denomination: “I have always supported the Consortium as vice-president and will continue this extraordinary journey with great enthusiasm, focusing on the culture, protection, and enhancement of the territory and its wines.” The goals of her term include teamwork and strengthening relationships with the main playersin the territory, from institutions to entrepreneurs in the restaurant and hospitality sectors, described as “essential interlocutors for the growth of the Consortium.”
