The Barbera grape variety is inextricably linked to the territory of Monferrato Astigiano. Located in southwestern Piemonte, in that hilly area nestled between the Ligurian Apennines, Langhe with the Cozie Alps on the horizon, and the Po River Valley: a territory emerged from marine waters between 2 and 3 million years ago.
