Here are the wines from Veneto that have earned the Tre Bicchieri award, the highest accolade from Gambero Rosso's Vini d'Italia guide this year

Veneto has an impressive list of winners in this year's Vini d'Italia 2025 guide by Gambero Rosso, as you can see from the list of Tre Bicchieri wines at the end. Here, we want to highlight some key themes we've already touched on during this year's tastings.

Tre Bicchieri 2025 from Veneto: Valdobbiadene and other denominations

Let's return to the Valdobbiadene district, where several key players have shown a lighter and more agile style. Examples include Col Credas by the Adami family in Farra di Soligo and Particella 181 from the Sorelle Bronca in Rua di Feletto, both using vibrant acidity to enhance the salinity and elegance that Glera can offer when grown in the best vineyards. Another standout is Stefano Pola, who produced a seductively harmonious Prosecco Superiore from the vines of Santo Stefano.

We’d also like to highlight yet another outstanding performance from Madre by Cescon, which has achieved its seventh Tre Bicchieri out of eight in total with the 2022 vintage. The Cescon siblings—Gloria, Graziella, and Domenico—have resisted the allure of Prosecco, solidifying their place as the most important winery in the extensive area northeast of Treviso. Another confirmation comes from the Sutto brothers, who have transformed their small family business into a regional benchmark. Their Merlot Campo Sella '2o is a perfect balance of flavour intensity and refinement.

We conclude this brief overview with two wines that transcend mere quality and seem to offer a fresh interpretation of their respective regions: Bardolino ’23 from Le Tende and Soave Verso ’21 from the Le Coste area, produced by Canoso. The former is the result of Mauro Fortuna’s dedication to moving beyond the idea of a light, easy-drinking Garda wine, favouring depth and character in production. The latter is Soave crafted by Giovanni Bartucci, who acquired the estate less than a decade ago and has already turned it into one of the most interesting wineries in the region. We warmly welcome him to the Tre Bicchieri club.
