When you think of Langhe, you think of autumn and truffles (as well as great wines and some of the most robust dining experiences in the whole of Italy). The news is that even in summer, the hills of this land of great wines and excellent products offer enchanting experiences, thanks to remarkable restaurants equipped with magnificent panoramic terraces overlooking the surrounding vineyards.
Here are three in Monforte d'Alba, one of the most characteristic and picturesque villages in the area
Giardino da Felicin
A "sanctuary" of Langhe tradition, now in its fourth generation of family management, with a widespread hotel and a comfortable traditional kitchen that remains timeless, serving well-crafted dishes made with quality ingredients. After crossing the garden with its vine-covered pergola, you enter the historic rooms, which then open onto one of the most beautiful terraces in the Langhe, offering breathtaking views of the hills. In 2024, the establishment expanded to Turin with a boutique-bistro in the historic herbalist shop Rosa Serafino in Piazza della Consolata.

Fre at Réva Resort
The wine resort of the Réva company is a paradise on earth nestled among the vineyards, offering five-star hospitality and the added bonus of a terrace with a view perfect for evenings and events, as well as leisurely aperitifs at sunset. The cuisine matches the setting: focused on ingredients (as seen from the names of the dishes), "cerebral" in its exploration of pairings and techniques, yet ultimately understandable and harmonious. The wine cellar is substantial, featuring all the necessary selections, and the service is sophisticated yet relaxed.

Moda
A historic residence from the 1600s with a spectacular terrace in the town center, in the pedestrian area. The cuisine is creative with a signature touch, blending Langhe classics, tributes to Roman traditions (reflecting the chef's origins), and a focus on vegetables, all presented in extensive tasting menus. The menu also includes intriguing oriental fusions with local ingredients. From the excellent wine list, a notable feature is the interesting service of great Piedmontese reds by the glass.
