At the Meliá Hotel in Milan, on Monday, December 11, 2023, a grand tasting event took place in collaboration with the Consortium for the Protection of Salice Salentino D.O.P. Wines, dedicated to the various expressions of Salice Salentino D.O.P. This denomination, now globally recognized, stands as one of the most significant in the oenology of Apulia.

During the Wine Tasting, a carefully selected audience composed of enthusiasts and industry professionals had the opportunity to independently explore a path among the tasting booths of the Consortium's wineries, discovering some of the finest expressions of the denomination. The tasting was preceded by a seminar led by Giuseppe Carrus, curator of the Gambero Rosso Vini d’Italia guide, reserved for industry operators and press, showcasing 10 types of Salice Salentino D.O.P.
The Food Proposal
Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed gastronomic offerings crafted by Marco Brioschi, resident chef of the Gambero Rosso Academy, paired with various expressions of Salice Salentino D.O.P.: Milanese-style supplì, ossobuco with lime mayonnaise, garlic, oil, chili, and turnip tops orecchiette pasta, and braised bread meatballs.
