In 1998, dynamic Sebastiano Giaquinta decided to take over the family estate, purchased in 1976. At the time much of was devoted to growing grapes but he has converted it into a specialist olive farm, later purchasing a large plot of neighbouring land. Today it extends over around 45 hectares, with more than 5,000 olive trees of different ages, most of which are the prized local cultivar tonda iblea. The quality of production is guaranteed by very attentive and expert management, and by the fact that the drupes are pressed immediately at a nearby mill.
