Marina Colonna is an important touchstone for the region, both in terms of its history and when it comes to the production of quality extra virgin olive oil. Of the 155 hectares cultivated, 55 are home to olive groves, some 15,000 trees in all. Flavor-infused oils, table olives, tomato sauces, purées, vegetable pâtés, salted capers and semi-dried cherry tomatoes are all produced as well.
