The strawberry tree is a typical shrub of the Mediterranean maquis, whose flowers and fruits, rich in beneficial properties, reach full development in the autumn season. From the blossoming of the strawberry tree in the Austis countryside, at an altitude of 750 metres on the western slope of the Gennargentu, Roberto Arru's bees produce the exceptional bitter honey, with its mellow and homogenous consistency: an elegant taste with great personality, with typical notes of roasting, coffee, gentian and bitter almond.
