The name is a clear reference to the temperature at which the pies are baked to perfection. With his restaurant Johnny Di Francesco has brought Italian culinary tradition to Melbourne. Not only pizzas are included in the offer, but also typical dishes such as meatballs, stuffed olives and amatriciana. As for the pizzas, the flavour and recipe are inspired by the city of Naples. High and with good air pockets on the crusts, and well seasoned pies with ingredients directly imported from Italy fly between the oven and the tables of the restaurant. The Margherita is a must, a classic pizza that has won more than one award, but for a more particular taste we recommend the Vulcano: fior di latte, spicy salami, crispy pancetta, caramelised onions and honey.
The best pizzerias are marked with 1,2,3 'spicchi' according to their quality grades.
