The first thing to taste here is undoubtedly the focaccia with olive oil, an irresistible example of local Genoese street food. The bite is light, oily and salted just right, so much so that in these parts it's also a must for breakfast. Then there's the version with onions or olives and the Recco variant with cheese. The Margherita pizza is also tasty, and if you find it still hot and just out of the oven (where it is baked in large rectangular pans) it's a real treat. Leave room for the bread: super crisp breadsticks and for the desserts, from apple pie to pandolce, a typical local leavened treat.
