In a historic part of this lakeside town, in an area commonly known as "Piazza Barche", AquAlta is always a very popular meeting point, from the early hours of the morning to aperitif time. The modern style of the furnishings and the outdoor space contribute to making a stop in pleasant, as does a range of food that's capable of satisfying at any time of day. The morning starts with good espresso, carefully brewed, and a selection of baked goods, croissants and cakes produced at their nearby kitchen. At lunchtime, dinner and, above all, for evening aperitifs, the kitchen (AquAltra, same owners, in via Vespucci) puts forward its best with classics and reinterpretations on the "cicchetteria" theme (finger foods and appetizers), from sardines in saor to fried meatballs, fried mozzarella and tramezzino sandwiches, all paired with spritzes and wines from local producers. At mealtime they offer some hot dishes, salads and cold cut platters.
