Situated in the beautiful Veronese mountains, Araldo Arte del Gusto is an interesting stop for those looking to dine far from the city crowds. Here you can enjoy excellent pizza, but not only: there are burgers and 'lievitati' (yeast-leavened products), a higher crust that's crunchy but properly soft. The secret lies in the skilled use of stone-ground organic flours, sourdough starter and the right leavening. Once combined with excellent toppings, you'll understand why guests always leave satisfied. House specialties include their "Verdure croccanti" pie (topped with Lessinia fiordilatte mozzarella, peppers, courgettes, carrots, San Marzano Dop tomatoes and aged Pecorino Romano grated after cooking), and their Gamberi dell'Argentina (Lessinia fiordilatte mozzarella, artisanal bacon from Val di Fiemme and Argentine prawns, all with a fresh arugula emulsion). There are also pizzas topped with excellent, well-balanced cured meats and their "Intramontabili" (the timeless classics). Nice craft beers are on tap, the atmosphere and service warm and friendly.
The best pizzerias are marked with 1,2,3 'spicchi' according to their quality grades.
