Situated on the city's main street, this pastry shop (founded by Plinio Breda and inherited by his son Ennio) has been a staple for Paduans for over half a century. Over time, the space and its food have evolved, though without losing sight of the quality of the product. The coffee is well brewed, both their espressos and cappuccinos, precise and punctual, and for breakfast they offer a rich assortment of baked goods. Alongside classic cakes, you'll find mini pastries and traditional treats, like the Pazientina cake (a specialty whose roots go back to the 17th century, it's filled with zabaglione and gianduia—excellent for a substantive, delicious snack). Recently they've also focused on cake decorating, including requests for custom cakes. Valid options are available for lunch. For those wishing to sit down, you can also take advantage of their pleasant terrace.
