Artisan technique, prized ingredients and genuine flavors are the hallmarks of Cargnello, a pastry shop that boasts a large group of loyal customers. Situated on the hills of Col San Martino and managed with passion by the Cargnello family, it's a truly reliable stop in terms of quality. Serena oversees the café and waits on customers, Michele handles production, their mother, Annarita, sees to the kitchen and shop. A cordial atmosphere, along with a bright and comfortable space (there are a few tables outside), greets customers with every visit. A complete range of foods that follows the rhythms of the seasons is offered. In winter you can enjoy a nice hot chocolate, in summer you can cool off with ice cream (made from natural ingredients), on sale in the adjacent parlor. The display windows showcase many specialties created with care: mini pastries and macarons, chocolates and pralines, biscuits and "credenza" sweets that will keep well in your pantry (the tarts and Sachertorte are a must). Then there are more modern cakes and, during the holidays, the great Italian classics revisited in new flavor combinations. At breakfast, a fine assortment of fragrant baked goods are offered—try the croissant with dark chocolate filling.
