Casa do Sardo, in the Norte de Rio de Janeiro area, boasts a fine quality/price ratio that's hard to find anywhere else in town. Silvio Podda and Paolo di Bella have created a place that offers excellent seafood, with a justifiably short menu that guarantees freshness. From classic regional specialties, we also find linguini with clams and bottarga, or generous portions of pasta with lobster, and a very good grilled dourade fish. The cuisine is simple, solid, and always paired with a very good selection of wines.
The best trattorias/bistrots are marked with 1,2,3 shrimps according to their quality grades.
