Da Emma is much more authentic that many trattoria-style restaurants in Italy. Check the menu on the blackboard and order a proper bottle of wine. We started with some artichokes to stimulate the palate, then we had a great example of comfort food like pasta e fagioli, slighty spicy. Our highlights? The mouthwatering polpette al sugo (veal only) and the super abbacchio al forno (roast lamb). Da Emma brought us back in time, we closed our eyes and we felt like in Rome 30 years ago. No frills, no decorations on the dishes, lots of sapore. Don't leave the restaurant without greeting legendary Mamma Roma Emma and her sister Annamaria. 2020 Guardian of Tradition Award.
