Active for over a century (and now on its fourth generation of family), Da Gigetto represents an obligatory stop for wine lovers and gourmets who find themselves passing through the area. It's an elegant, polished venue set in a beautiful landscape near the Alpine foothills. Its several rooms are all united by an enjoyable, rustic charm and careful mise en place, made possible thanks to attentive service. The kitchen is overseen by Marco Bortolini, who offers a menu that interprets the territory through technique, creativity and the use of local ingredients: green and white asparagus savarin with cashew cream and egg mimosa, white asparagus flan with greens and tomato coulis, pappardelle stuffed with porcini mushrooms on a sorana ragù, duck tortelli with light butter and fine herbs, beef fillet in red wine with chips and raisins. Accompanying it all is a cellar that's beautiful to look at and wide ranging, stocked with thousands of bottles from all over the world.
