It's rare to come across a shop that's been riding the crest of the wave for over 90 years. Gardellin is a safe haven for those looking for a dessert with which to celebrate a special occasion and/or for those who want to indulge in a daily break that's sure to satisfy. Carefully selected ingredients, technique, courtesy and great attention to the customer have always guided the way for the Gardellin family. The result is a vast and well-crafted assortment of foods that delights both the eyes and palate. There are countless (and delicious) creations for breakfast: sweet rolls, danishes, sticky buns, French croissants and pain au chocolat, rice cakes and apple puff pastry. Their mini pastries, each of which is carefully prepared, will catch your eye as well. The repertoire of cakes varies with the seasonal availability of the ingredients. During summer you'll find the fresh Tentazione alla fragola ("Strawberry Temptation") made with a soft, lemon biscuit base, mascarpone ganache, strawberry and raspberry confit and strawberry mousse. Their vanilla Bourbon, on the other hand, can be appreciated year round, thanks to alluring and intense notes that embellish the Chantilly cream used in their classics, from millefeuille to fruit tarts. Spectacular cakes for special occasions, from cream tarts to decorated versions, are available on request. Tea biscuits and savory pastries, Italian holiday classics, ice cream and chocolate complete the picture. Orders can be placed online and picked up in the shop.
