"Not just coffee" reads the motto of Il Venexino, the venue acquired in autumn 2020 by Davide Pedon (the entrepreneur who exported the Venetian tramezzino to New York). Il Venexino is also a seafood restaurant with an open kitchen, but the café hasn't lost its primacy, and in the morning they offer quality coffee and cappuccinos alongside a valid assortment of house Vienna desserts and over-the-counter pastries. The lunch menu comprises raw seafood, oysters, fresh foods (such as their colorful catalana), and seafood-based first courses. And the sea is also the leitmotif of their aperitif, to be enjoyed outside, under the arcades: savory treats, gourmet tramezzinos (from shrimp to the original carbonara pan carrè, Pedon docet), bubbles, spritzes and house cocktails. A line of bottled, ready-made sauces invented by the chef are also on sale.
