Cristopher Carraro continues to evolve. In his beautiful restaurant overlooking the famous Ponte degli Alpini, he offers an à la carte menu that marks the transition to more approachable cuisine (in terms of price) and that's less edgy in its combinations. Local and Italian tradition are revisited with balanced panache. Here you'll find vitello tonnato accompanied by a parmesan biscuit, capers and stock of the same veal. Then there's their intense onion risotto, cod alla vicentina with buttered corn cream and their surprising fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce. The sweets department also delivers with a delicious lemon tart. The wine cellar has some nice options. Unhasty service offers cheerful smiles.
