Established as a tavern but now a gourmet seafood restaurant, Oste Scuro has been a safe haven, in the truest sense of the word, for over 20 years. Chef and owner Simone Lugoboni, who moves between the kitchen and dining area, represents "the" seafood restaurant in a region where meat reigns supreme. His is a menu of substance, as demonstrated by excellent raw fish (almost a menu in itself, with selections of oysters accompanied by fine caviarand prices to match), but also of personality, like his risotto with black garlic, shrimp and parsley, or raw amberjack with tomato confit and parsley sauce, or the fried seafood "fritto in pappa". It can all be enjoyed in a comfortable dining area or the indoor garden, accompanied by an attentive staff that's happy to make suggestions or provide explanations. Wines to satisfy any desire.
