L'Osteria del Becco has been the first one in town – not exactly an informal osteria in the elegant Polanco neighborhood – boasting a unique wine caveau with one of the most precious wine collections worldwide. Italian wines alone count 40,000 labels with incredibly deep vintages: from legendary reserve wines of Biondi Santi from the 1950s to post-World War II Monfortino and many other gems made by the best Italian winemakers, offering vintages that are hard to find even in Italy. For these reasons, it earned the Wine List of the Year in 2022. The wine is best enjoyed alongside a classic cuisine, that proposes many northern Italian specialties. The service matches the context and the high prices. It is possible to dine in the charming wine cellar prior to reservation.
