There are more Neapolitan style pizzerias in Berlin than in many Italian cities. Monella is a safe choice when it comes to the vibrant and international district of Neukölln. The desing is modern and essential, the margherita is tasty and very honest, the cacio e pepe is intriguing, the mussels and shrimps (available only on Friday) not pretty much Italian...We point out the version with Piennolo tomatoes and anchovies. High quality ingredients are mostly imported from Campania, the dough is well airy but can still improve a little.
