The view from the 47th floor of the Bvlgari Hotel in Shanghai is certainly striking. Opened in September 2018, the second opening in China for Niko Romito, Italian chef who––with his Reale in Castel di Sangro, Abruzzo––has the highest grade among all the restaurants of Italy according to our Ristoranti d’Italia guide. We're seeing a true phenomenon, here. In Shanghai, chef Mauro Aloiso takes care of re-proposing Romito's cooking philosophy. From the menu, we point out the simply and tasty spahgetti and tomatoes, the vitello tonnato and a well-cooked suckling pig. Service at Bulgari level, the wine list is articulated, lots of Italian and even some early Chinese products.
