Description

One of the city's best-known and beloved chefs, Leonardo Pacenti has paved the way for many Italians in the Netherlands when he moved to Amsterdam in 1985. An authentic and avowedly "homely" cuisine, a relaxed atmosphere with attention to detail. The winning formula? Ingredients, clean flavours and simplicity that led Toscanini to remain a cutting-edge restaurant after more than 36 years. On the menu fresh homemade stuffed pasta such as ravioli with wild garlic, datterino tomatoes, ricotta cheese and almonds, and the pan-fried catch of the day with stewed calamari and bruschetta from artisanal bread from the Toscanini bakery. The inspiration for traditional dishes comes from trips to the various regions of Italy, with an eye on super fresh (and tasty) vegetables.
