The winery managed by Carlo and Roberto Paladin is a major point of reference for wine production in the plains that extend eastwards from the Livenza River. Over the years the brothers have gradually expanded the area of cultivation in the direction of nearby Friuli, reaching almost a hundred hectares (partly owned), while all stages of production are carried out in their well-equipped cellar in Via Postumia. The Vineargenti '19 is an original blend, mostly merlot combined with a smaller share of refosco dal peduncolo rosso, that rests for over a year in barriques before being blended and transferred to large casks to finish maturation. On the nose notes of red fruit are clearly detectable, with floral whiffs and echoes of fines herbes hearkening back to the refosco grape. In the mouth, its fullness finds the right balance in acidity and a close-knit tannic weave. We also appreciated the Sauvignon Turranio '21, a fruity wine endowed with a lean, supple profile.
