The Ripaccioli brothers possess 13 hectares of vineyards in Montosoli and 6 in Canalicchi, all sangiovese and all in the northern part of Montalcino. There are 10 different plots in total, each with varying pedoclimatic characteristics. Indeed, a few meters can make a significant difference in soils, positions, and even microclimates, so much so that they are vinified and partly bottled separately. This, in essence, is the great strength of the winery, which has thus far succeeded in leveraging the estate's diversity, resulting in a lovely range of wines unified by their elegance and territorial identity. This year they submitted a lovely lineup: overall, we're talking about well-crafted, territorial wines. Among them, the classic Brunello Vigna Montosoli '18 stands out. An elegant bouquet of infused red flowers is accompanied by cinchona, licorice, and underbrush, all veined by certain earthy notes, while the mouth, it's endowed with delicately astringent tannins, relying on a nice balance between acidity and fruit.
