The Dogliotti family, founders of Caudrina, boasts vineyards that go back, on average, more than forty years, rooted in the marl-limestone terroir typical of the region. Based in Castiglione Tinella, they primarily focus on local varietals: moscato, barbera, nebbiolo, and dolcetto. In Ottiglio Monferrato, they cultivate their sole international grape, chardonnay. The Barbera d'Asti La Solista '21 evokes black fruits, rain-soaked earth, and Mediterranean shrub, while the palate is delightful and juicy. The Piemonte Chardonnay Mej '22 has an intense nose, with spicy notes, followed by a crisp and easy-drinking palate. The Monferrato Nebbiolo Sfacciato Facia d Tola 21 proves firm and mouthfilling, playing on hints of quinine, cherry, and aromatic herbs.
