At the foot of Mount Vulture, at around 600 meters above sea level, the vineyards of Solagna del Titolo form an amphitheater-like setting. Over 20 years ago, Elena Fucci took charge of her grandfather Generoso's vineyards while pursuing her enology studies. Today she masterfully interprets the sole grape cultivated, aglianico, highlighting its nuances and complexity. The vineyards, which go back more than 50 years, surround a modern, bio-architectural cellar built entirely from local materials. The Titolo once again proves to be among the territory's most representative wines. The 2021 stands out for its tension and balance, richness of fruit, and careful blending of oak. Spicy tones, red and black fruit notes, and a tannic profile of great finesse give way to a lengthy finish. The sapid and complex Sceg '21 ("pomegranate" in Arberëshe), from vines over seventy years old, also earned a place in our finals.
