Verone is an old Tuscan term for a terrace, and indeed, it's an apt name for a property characterized by the presence of old terraced plots. Other relics, such as the remnants of the first decantation tanks, the buildings themselves, and the historic vin santo barrel storage area (preserved in the attic rooms of the 18th-century villa) contribute to the historical atmosphere of the place. The wines, made from sangiovese grapes, international varieties, and white cultivates, exhibit a modern style. Together with the 50 ha of olive groves and guest accommodations, they contribute to a well-rounded farm. The Chianti Rufina Terraelectae Vigneto Quona Riserva '20 proves modern in its stylistic profile. It opens with aromas of juniper, violet, plum, and peppermint, leading to an elegant and lasting palate, which is energetic and brackish. The Chianti Rufina I Domi '21 features fresh and minty traits, with a still very young palate. A sip of the Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina Riserva '12 is pure joy: it's sweet and dense, with sensations of dates, raisins, and barley sugar.
