This year, we had the opportunity to taste the reserve wines from the previous (2021) vintage. Regarding the 2022 harvest, the severe drought that impacted the area significantly reduced production here as well. Consequently, the winery was only able to produce Dolceacqua Curli '22. In response to these circumstances, Giovanna and her husband Goez decided to bottle the wine with a unique, unrepeatable label, dedicating it to the first wine prize won 100 years ago and to those who founded the winery: "F.lli Maccario 1922." Broad in its fruity aromas, nuanced and intriguing, the Posaù '21 brings out sensations of plum and raspberry on an intriguing and rounded body of great harmony. The Settecamini '21 makes a high impact aromatically, pleasant in its whiffs of fruit and licorice before a substantive, velvety palate. We also appreciated the elegant and complex Luvaira '21.
