In the late 1800s, Remigio Medici, the owner of three taverns, established a winery to showcase the family vineyards between Via Emilia and the foothills of the Valle dell'Enza. Flash forward to more recent times: following the meteoric rise of Lambrusco in the U.S. during the 1970s, and the ensuing slump in the 1980s, the fourth generation of the Medici family overhauled their winemaking process. Vineyards were replanted, and yields were reduced by 35% compared to regulations, setting a new course that cemented the connection between the wine and its land. Through stringent choices both in the vineyard and the cellar, lambrusco has been elevated to the ranks of high-quality wines. The Reggiano Concerto 22 confirms the good work being done. A truly dependable wine that won't disappoint, it pours a thick color, clean in its fruity aromasa genuine, delectable drink. The Gran Concerto is equally splendid, another Reggiano but made using the Metodo Classico. The authenticity and originality of the marani grape is expressed by the Unique 20.
