Peter Sölva has been leading the family business for some time now. One of Caldaro's historic producers, Solva & Sohne has been active for almost three centuries. The estate extends over a dozen hectares in the area, with lower vineyards dedicated to red grapes, while the whites are cultivated at elevations spanning 400-600 meters above sea level. The portfolio is divided into the DeSilva line, which focuses on varietal expression, and the Amistar range, which expresses the concept of richer, more mature wines. The delicious Cabernet Sauvignon Amistar Edizione '19 pours a deep, clear color, the prelude to intense notes of ripe red fruit alongside nuances of oak, spices, and a fresh balsamic hint. In the mouth, the density of the palate finds the perfect support in its close-knit tannic texture and tantalizing acidity. The Sauvignon DeSilva '22 opens on fruity aromas veiled by a sulfurous note, only to express themselves more intensely on a juicy, dynamic palate.
